SAU orgainses IT exhibition

Sindh Agriculture University organized IT exhibition based on software, applications and models developed by the students of Information Technology Center, while, for the first time, private IT companies also set up stalls at Job Fair for job and internships opportunities for Graduates.

Second annual exhibition of models, software, and applications developed by the final year students of the Information Technology Center (ITC) was organized in collaboration with Hyderabad Information and Software House Association (HISHA), for the first time, a job fair was also organized by private companies of Karachi and Hyderabad to provide internships and jobs to students.

Dr. Fateh Marri, Vice Chancellor, Sindh Agriculture University inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon and visited the stalls of projects, models, and software developed by final year students of ITC.

Addressing on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr. Fateh Marri said that the IT sector has made great strides; The Information Technology sector is playing an important role in the development of all sectors including Medical, Agriculture, Engineering, Livestock, Manufacturing, and Marketing.

He said that the projects and models developed by the students of the Sindh Agriculture University are of high standard.

Dr. Aijaz Ali Khooharo, Dean of Agricultural Social Sciences, said that information technology has changed the world in a few decades and the economic and business activities in the world and international market have been explored with a single click, which will lead to growth.

Mohammad Aamir Sheikh, Industry Secretary, Hyderabad Information and Software House Association (HISHA) said that IT students of Sindh Agricultural University have developed excellent models, in this exhibition, 18 software and IT consulting companies have set up stalls in Job Fair, graduates would be selected for jobs and internships in such companies.

Mansoor Haider Depar, Director, Information Technology Center, Dr. Mir Sajjad Talpur, Dr. Muhammad Yaqoob Koondhar, and others said that students have developed their Models, Software, and applications for health, agriculture, machine learning, mobile applications, and other fields. The students also exhibited a robotic model, which will automatically check the temperature of any person entering the building for COVID 19 before entering, and the entrance door will open automatically.

Dean Dr. Syed Ghiyasuddin Shah Rashdi, Dr. Jan Muhammad Marri, Dr. Abdullah Arijo, Registrar Ghulam Mohiyuddin Qureshi, Dr. Mubeen Lodhi, Dr. Mukhtar Memon, Javed Qureshi, faculty teachers and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

Tableau was also performed by the students on the occasion, while the Vice Chancellor and Deans distributed shield awards for the best project designed by teachers and students/
