Pro-Vice Chancellor and faculty of Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Sub-Campus Umerkot spent a day at the camp school with the rain-affected children. The rain-affected children and the campus staff sang songs and relief items were also distributed among the children.

On the instructions of Dr Fateh Muhammad Marri, Vice Chancellor SAU, the academic staff of Sub Campus Umerkot under the supervision of Dr Jan Muhammad Marri reached the school located in the camp near Umerkot and spent a few hours with the children.

On this occasion, teachers and students recited songs to each other, students made speeches, and various questions and answers were exchanged between the teachers and students, thus teachers informed the students about the success stories of their life, and reasons and questions for choosing the field for higher education according to their wishes in the future were also sought from the students.

Dr Jan Muhammad Marri, Pro Vice-Chancellor while speaking said that due to rains like other cities of Sindh, Umerkot, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, and different areas of Thar have also suffered severe damage and educational institutions have also been severely affected.

He said that setting up camp schools in different areas of Thar is a good practice in which we spent a few hours with the students; the children of Thar are very intelligent, knowledgeable, and hardworking. He said that the Vice Chancellor Dr Fateh Marri has strict instructions to spend time with the children in the camps and special attention should be given to their education.

Institutions and conscious social people should remove fear from the minds of children, and give them a positive role in their struggle, hard work, and mental development for a better future. He said that the children not only gave excellent answers to the questions but also presented a scene of happiness by singing songs and defeating fear.
