SAU Umerkot campus graduated first batch

The first batch of sub-campus Umerkot affiliated to Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam has completed its first four-year bachelor’s degree. On completion of the first batch, a grand farewell ceremony was organized in their honor of students. Dr Jan Muhammad Marri, Director Campus and Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon, Deputy Commissioner Umerkot were the special guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jan Mohammad Marri, Director Campus, said that the sub-campus graduates from Umerkot should use their potential for agricultural development in other areas including Thar, we are introducing information technology as well as various degree courses in the sub-campus, along with Diploma in livestock.

Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon, Deputy Commissioner Umerkot said that after the establishment of sub-campus of Sindh Agriculture University in Umerkot, expectations for development and prosperity in different areas of the city and Thar have increased.

He said that the interest of Dr. Fateh Marri, Vice Chancellor, Sindh Agriculture University for sub-campus Umerkot, along with solving the problems of farmers and cattle farmers of the area, is also fulfilling the dream of higher education of their children.

Mustafa Khoso of Sami Foundation said that the sub-campus in Umerkot, Thar would play a bridging role in various research, survey and community welfare activities with various stakeholders.

Dr Vishandas, Saleem Chang, Muhammad Nawaz Mir Bahr, Imam Bakhsh Chachar and others also spoke, while the students who completed their degree expressed their views. A cake was also cut during the farewell party for the first batch on this occasion.
