LAHORE: Punjab School Education Department (SED) has directed all the Chief Executive Officers of District Education Authorities in Punjab to submit reports of educational Institutions (Public and Private) reopening on a daily basis.

According to the notification, SED has formed a Human Resource Management Information System in which CEOs have to submit their daily reports about the reopening of education institutions.

The report must include any COVID-19 positive case and closure of school due to non-compliance of SOPs due to disease and update on the SOPs implementation.

SED is utilizing the technology and WhatsApp group in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus among students.

The notification stated that directions have been given in the line of the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), apex body to monitor and disseminate information about coronavirus cases and formulate policy to stem the virus.

It is pertinent to note that students from grade 9 to 12 returned to school across the country after extended winter break.
