Seminar at IUB calls for strong civil-military relations

A seminar on Civil-Military Relations was organized at the Bahawalnagar Campus of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB). Major General Tabassum Habib, HI (Military), presided over the seminar as a “Special Guest” along with Brig Ali Zahid and other Army officers, Director Campus Dr. Rafaqat Ali Bajwa, faculty members, administration and students of various departments were also present on the occasion.

Major General Tabassum Habib is one of the highly professional officers of the Pakistan Army, and he is performing his duties as Commanding Officer Infantry Division Okara. He was commissioned in 1991, at Command and Staff College, Quetta. He graduated from National Defense University (NDU) Islamabad and King’s College London (KCL), UK and studied at Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) at Harvard University USA.

Addressing the seminar, the special guest Major General Tabassum Habib apprised the participants of the realities in the context of the Pakistan Army’s services to the country and highlighted the role of the Pakistan Army in the context of domestic and foreign issues facing Pakistan. Major General Tabassum Habib said that the young generation is a precious asset of God-given Pakistan and stressed that all should unite and play their positive and constructive role in the development of Pakistan.
