SHU and AIESEC Sign MoU

In a significant move aimed at enhancing student development, Salim Habib University (SHU) and the Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (AIESEC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership seeks to provide students with valuable opportunities in the realms of creative achievements, leadership development, and the promotion of integrity, transparency, and accountability through internships and foreign exchange programs.

The signing ceremony took place with esteemed representatives from both organizations. Presiding over the event were Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Vice Chancellor of SHU, and Mr. Muhammad Asad Arif, Regional Head of Marketing & PR, AIESEC in Karachi South. The ceremony was further honored by the presence of Dr. Muhammad Hussain Habib, Registrar of SHU, and Ms. Khansa Maqsood Soomro, Local Committee Vice President for Business Development and External Relations, AIESEC in Karachi South.

During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder highlighted the importance of the collaboration, stating, “This partnership with AIESEC aligns perfectly with our mission to foster an environment of academic excellence and personal growth. Our students will greatly benefit from the international exposure and hands-on experiences that AIESEC offers.”

Mr. Muhammad Asad Arif echoed these sentiments, expressing his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “AIESEC is dedicated to developing the leadership potential of young people through experiential learning, and our partnership with SHU will create a platform for students to gain invaluable skills and experiences that will prepare them for the global stage.”

The MoU outlines a comprehensive framework for cooperation between SHU and AIESEC, focusing on various student-centric initiatives. These include internship opportunities, both locally and internationally, as well as participation in foreign exchange programs that will allow students to immerse themselves in diverse cultures and professional environments.

Dr. Muhammad Hussain Habib emphasized the transformative potential of this partnership, noting, “By working closely with AIESEC, we are opening doors for our students to not only excel academically but also to develop as well-rounded individuals ready to take on leadership roles in their future careers.”

Ms. Khansa Maqsood Soomro added, “This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to nurturing future leaders. We are excited to see the positive impact it will have on the students of SHU and look forward to a fruitful partnership.”
