Sindh Board of Technical Education on Wednesday decided to introduce the Competency-Based Training Program.
According to the details, the CBT programs have been prepared under the National Vocational Qualification Framework. The SBTE chairman Dr. Masroor Sheikh said the board has also decided to introduce the virtual polytechnic program in the country.
According to Dr. Sheikh, the Covid-19 has affected technical education in the province. But the board is striving hard to overcome such difficulties in the future.
Talking about the CBT program, he said that in the technical course, students have to work in groups. Technical education can be promoted with the help of online institutions and industry. It’s a tragedy that the trend in the technology sector is declining.
