Sindh Governor Launches Free IT Courses for 500,000 Youth in 2025

This ambitious program, part of the broader Governor’s Program, seeks to empower youth with crucial digital skills that can enhance their employability and foster innovation in Sindh’s growing tech sector.

Highlighting the social welfare efforts carried out over the past year, the governor shared that 900,000 ration bags were distributed to families struggling with financial difficulties. Additionally, 50,000 young people benefited from IT training courses, providing them with a stepping stone toward better job prospects. The success of these earlier efforts has paved the way for expanding the IT education initiative in the coming year.
Looking ahead to 2025, Governor Tessori reaffirmed his commitment to addressing Sindh’s pressing challenges, including unemployment, access to clean water, affordable electricity, and improving urban cleanliness. He expressed his intention to collaborate closely with public and private sector organizations to create more jobs, especially for the youth, while ensuring basic necessities are provided to all citizens. The governor’s plans are aimed at fostering economic stability and improving the quality of life for the province’s residents.
The New Year celebrations at the Governor’s House also featured an extravagant display of fireworks, lasting over 40 minutes, which set a new world record for the longest continuous fireworks display. The event drew large crowds and marked a symbolic start to what Governor Tessori hopes will be a transformative year for Sindh.
In addition to the fireworks spectacle, the governor’s address reflected a positive and ambitious outlook for 2025, with a focus on uplifting the province through targeted interventions in education, employment, and infrastructure. This comprehensive plan aims to tackle some of the deep-rooted issues facing the people of Sindh while positioning the province as a key player in Pakistan’s tech-driven future.
