At the request of the Universities and Boards Department, the Sindh Home Department has imposed Section 144 declaring the examination centers as restricted areas.

This step has been taken after the media reports about the leaked question papers. On the first day of the Secondary School Certificate Examination 2021, a large scale of administrative negligence and mismanagement was observed. The examiners and Center Controlling Officers were failed to deliver question papers to examination centers. After which examination papers started late in several exam centers across the city.

The notification reads that the aim of imposing Section 144 is to discourage cheating and the use of unfair means in the exams. Also, the general public has been banned from going inside the centers where SSC exams are being conducted.

In addition, only students having admit cards for attempting exams, authorized examiners and the board staffers would be allowed to enter in the restricted areas. However, law enforcers would check them and search everyone. Also, none of them would be allowed to carry mobile phones.

The decision had been made to conduct transparent exams and in a peaceful manner. Similarly, no photo state shop would be allowed to operate nearby the exam centers. The SHOs of the concerned areas have been directed to register complaints and take action against the violators.
