The caretaker Sindh Government has announced plans to launch a paid internship program for 200 students from public sector universities. The program, which will be spearheaded by the provincial human rights department, aims to provide valuable learning experiences to young minds and foster a deeper understanding of the law and social sciences.

The internship will be open to students residing in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Sukkur, and Shaheed Benazirabad divisions. Students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000 during the internship.

In addition to providing financial support, the internship will also offer students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of human rights. Interns will be able to participate in a variety of activities, such as attending workshops and seminars, conducting research, and drafting reports.

The internship program is expected to be launched in the coming weeks, subject to the approval of the interim Chief Minister.

“This internship program is a great opportunity for young people to learn about human rights and make a difference in their communities,” said caretaker law minister barrister Omer Soomro. “I encourage all eligible students to apply.”

“The internship program will provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to become effective advocates for human rights,” said Human Rights secretary Javed Sibghatullah Mehr. “We are confident that this program will make a positive impact on the lives of young people in Sindh.”

The application process for the internship program will be announced soon. Interested students can stay up-to-date on the latest developments by visiting the website of the Sindh Human Rights Department (SHRD).
