Sitara o Hilal Foundation Organises Nationwide Film & Documentary Competition

LAHORE: Sitara-o-Hilal Foundation organized a Film and Documentary Competition on March 23 entitled My Country, My Pride. Films and documentaries were submitted by more than 40 children from across the country for the competition.

Akaf Ayaz and Faisal Ayaz from Punjab University including, Qazi Khurram from Abbottabad University got 1st position, Aliza Ashfaq and Raja Farqalit Mahmood from Islamabad Namal University secured 2nd position and 3rd position was won by Hafiz Ali from Karakram International University Gilgit and Ahsan Minhaj from UMT.

Ibrahim Murad, founder of Sitara Halal Foundation, presided over the prize distribution ceremony in which he welcomed the participants and distributed cash prizes among the position holders of the competition and also made them ambassadors of the SHF foundation. He expressed that the aim of the competition was to inculcate patriotism in the youth and create awareness among them regarding March 23. He further said that this free country has come to us after a lot of struggle and sacrifices so we should give priority to our country.

Expressing his views, Ibrahim Hassan Murad said that Sitara-e-Halal Foundation is a non-political, non-profit organization which instills patriotism in the youth of the country and utilizes their talents for the welfare of Pakistan. In his message, Ibrahim Murad asked the students to recognize them and show their mettle in the field of education as the Quaid-e-Millat says that there is no power on earth that can undo pakistan. Ibrahim Murad further expressed that Pakistan is changing rapidly and educational institutions have a key role to embrace the change.
