UVAS Weeklong Spring Festival 2019 Concludes Today


Spring Festival organized at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Ravi Campus Pattoki concluded with trophy distribution ceremony, on Tuesday. Various contests, including naat, qiraat, poetry, bait bazi, calligraphy, declamation, music, drama, still art, quiz and floral competitions were organized in the weeklong spring festival, 2019. Numerous students from different departments of the varsity participated in these competitions.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I) presided over the concluding ceremony and distributed trophies among the winners of the spring festival contests. Prof Pasha also planted a sapling in front of Akram Complex in the varsity premises. Prof Dr Anjum Khalique, Prof Dr Athar Mahmood, Dr Noor Khan, along with students and faculty members attended the ceremony.

The BS Poultry team won the first position, while BS Zoology team and Dairy Technology team stood second and third, respectively. Addressing the concluding ceremony, Prof Pasha applauded the students for their enthusiastic participation in the festival. He said the Ravi Campus is flourishing with time and new laboratories and infrastructure development like Akram Educational Complex are leading maximum benefits to varsity students. He also congratulated the winning teams.
