The University of Sindh defeated Sukkur IBA University from 1-8 goals in the main match of the first qualifying round of All Pakistan Inter University Hockey Tournament Zone H here on Thursday.

The match was played between Sindh University Jamshoro and Sukkur IBA University at Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam under HEC Hockey Tournament Zone H where the players of the University of Sindh remained dominated over the rival team throughout the match.

Sardar Ali scored 3, Mohammad Talha scored 2 and Faizan Ali and Haider Ali scored one goal each for Sindh University which ensured the victory over the rival team. Thus, the University of Sindh outplayed its rival by a margin of 1-8 goals.

On the occasion, SAU vice-chancellor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari, SU’s director sports Ajwed Ahmed Bhatti, his counterpart of SAU Jam Anwar Khanzada and others were also present.

It is pertinent to mention that the 2 winning teams of the 3-day event will be sent to Islamabad to participate in the HEC Gala Sports event.
