Sindh University Spokesman Nadir Ali Mugheri has said that the examination results of 3-year LLB program for the academic year 2018 and 2019 were announced in time due to the special interest of the incumbent Vice-Chancellor Professor (Meritorious) Dr Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro; therefore, the news regarding inordinate delay in this regard are strictly contradicted.

He said after the announcement of the results, the date for filling up the examination forms for conducting the annual examination of the academic year 2020 was fixed till February 22 and the annual examinations 2020 will be commenced in March.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, the spokesperson said that there was no delay in announcing the examinations and results of the 3-year LLB program and that the incumbent Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro had taken immediate steps to compensate the academic loss caused by the corona virus pandemic.

He said that the results of semester examinations of LLB 5-year program will be announced on February 14 adding that the academic vision of SU Vice-Chancellor was that the quality of education in the affiliated law colleges should be excellent and examinations should be held on time so that the youth could start their careers after taking degrees.

The spokesman dismissed the notion in his statement that the examination results of LLB 3 and 5-year programs were stalled and bogged down.

He said that the Vice-Chancellor was well aware of the importance of law education; however, he was also cognizant with the precious time of the students that it ought not to be wasted. “That is why, the VC has been taking timely steps to bring the varsity as per annual academic calendar”, he said.

The spokesman said that instead of making unnecessarily criticism on the performance of the university administration, the facts should be known and written down as per ethics of journalism.
