SU takes imperative decision to fortify academic and research

Sindh University on Friday held the 12th meeting of the Board of Faculty of Natural Sciences approving to include new elective courses of the MS and M.Phil programs running at various departments

The meeting was chaired by the SU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro. It was unanimously approved that the measures taken under Emergency Powers by the Vice-Chancellor in the Faculty of Natural Sciences to run the academic matters smoothly.

The meeting recommended revised syllabi of minor subjects for the 4-year program of Biochemistry and BS Part I and II of Nutrition and Food Sciences, while the course outlines of MS and M.Phil Biochemistry, MS and M.Phil Food Science and Technology and Revised MS Nutrition and Dietetics were recommended for modification.

The house also recommended a new syllabus for PhD in Biochemistry. The final recommendations made in the meeting for uplift of academic and research in various science disciplines under the guidelines of higher education commission (HEC) will be sent to the Syndicate for approval.

The meeting was attended by all the members of the board including Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences Prof. Dr. Wazir Ali Baloch and Director Research and Graduate Studies Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Memon.
