The 6th Syndicate Committee meeting held at University of Home Economics, Lahore approved Rs 722.256 million budget for the year 2021-2022 here on Wednesday.
The Meeting was chaired by Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen, Vice Chancellor UHE, Members of the syndicate committee including Judge Lahore High Court Justice Jawad Hassan, Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, VC University of Education Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, VC Government College for Women University Sialkot Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar, Founder Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lahore Dr Shehla Javed Akram, Member Punjab Assembly Rashida Khanum and Shazia Abid.
The Syndicate Committee approved agenda items which included several significant decisions. The Syndicate confirmed the minutes of its 5th meeting as the draft was circulated among the participants and their suggestions had been incorporated. The meeting also reviewed Vice Chancellor’s Progress and Implementation Report and applauded the VC and her team for making successful progress. It also approved the recommendations of UHE’s Search Committee, regarding the appointment on principal seats.
The Syndicate meeting approved 722.256 million Budget of 2021-2022 of the UHE and gave formal approval for creation of new staff and faculty positions. In a significant development, the Syndicate has approved library policy, Under the UHE establishment of wellbeing centre for the provision of Physical and mental facilitation to the public and increases. The No. of Scholarships for the students of UHE was also approved by the Syndicate besides.
The meeting settled all the agenda items and the committee appreciated the effort of worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Kanwal Ameen and her team for going all out to make UHE is a hub of progressive and modern learning. At the end cake cutting ceremony was held.
