TEVTA starts admissions in Technical Colleges

Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) have started admissions in three years Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE).

A meeting was held at the Government Institute of Leather Technology in which Principals of 13 Central Zone’s Technology Colleges participated. SDG TEVTA Akhtar Abbas Bharwana has advised College Principals to run an effective admissions campaign as per the priorities of the Punjab Government. He said that this admission campaign should be made successful.

He also informed the meeting that now students of DAE are eligible for admission to engineering universities like students of FSc Pre Engineering which is a big achievement. He further said that technical education plays an important role in the progress of any country and we want to inform these students and parents.

SDG Akhtar Abbas Bharwana noted that there are not many jobs available in the market for Fsc graduates but a graduate of DAE can easily get a job in the market. Now, these graduates are eligible for admission to engineering universities, he added.

He also advised principals that they should monitor the admission campaign for the following merit in admission as these students can earn in the local and international job market.

The meeting was also attended by Additional DG Waleed Jahangir, Regional Director Engr Tariq Mahmood, Project Director Government Institute of Leather Technology Gujranwala Syed Muhammad Athar Raza Zaidi and all principals, and directors of Central Zone.
