TEVTA, Urban Unit join hands for vocational, technical education

LAHORE: Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and Urban Unit have joined hands for the promotion of vocational and technical education.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Chairperson TEVTA Ali Salman Siddique and CEO Urban Unit Muhammad Umar Masood here on Friday.

As per the MoU, both TEVTA and Urban Unit will collaborate for research, quantitative data analysis, spatial mapping to promote technical education and vocational training. Both organizations will also exchange the services of experts as well as they will also share each other’s links on their official websites.

While speaking on occasion, Chairperson TEVTA Ali Salman Siddique noted that TEVTA is taking multiple steps to upgrade the technical and vocational education as per the current era’s requirement, while this MoU will also play its role in the implementation of Vision 2023. He said that as per this MoU, both TEVTA and Urban Unit will also be able to use each other’s resources.

CEO Urban Unit noted that this MoU will promote technical and vocational education which eventually will decrease unemployment as well as it will also strengthen Pakistan’s economy.
