Peking University, China
The number one university in the list of top 10 Asian engineering universities is China’s Peking University. Peking College of Engineering was established in 1910 and initially offered specializations in civil and mineral engineering only. The school was re-established in 2005 as the College of Engineering and currently encompass six departments that include Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME), Department of Materials Science & Engineering, Department of Energy & Resources Engineering, Department of Mechanics & Engineering Science, Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics, and Department of Industrial Engineering & Management. This school offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degree programmes in aerospace engineering, materials sciences, biomedical sciences, mechanical sciences, and control engineering. The THE rate Peking University as the seventh best university in the world for studying engineering and technology in 2018. It’s the first time Peking has made it among the top 10 for engineering in the world in THE rankings.

National University of SingaporeÂ
Considered to be the best university in Asia by far, NUS was second among top 10 Asian engineering universities. The NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering (NGS) was established in 1905 and is considered one of the leading engineering schools in Asia. This school offers cutting-edge research facilities and educational prospects in various engineering disciplines, including bioengineering, chemical, sciences physical sciences, computer sciences, and material sciences. The school offers graduate and joint doctoral programmes, along with associated and special doctoral programmes in mechanobiology, quantum technologies, environmental life science engineering, computational biology, and neuroscience. NUS was given an overall score of 88.7 by the World University Rankings which highlights its outstanding global reputation. It also the eighth best university in the world for studying engineering.

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
Placed on the number 16 spot in the best world universities for engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore is the third best in Asia. Nanyang College of Engineering consists of six departments and offers a wide array of multidisciplinary programmes including options of dual degree programmes, double major’s degree programmes and single degree programmes. The university was named as the fastest-rising young university of the world by Times Higher Education and is also the youngest university to secure highest rankings among other leading universities of the world. Nanyang has shown a steady progress in the THE rankings since 2013 and was awarded a score of 95.4 in terms of the international outlook for the year 2018.

Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
The School of Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is one of the largest engineering schools within the Hong Kong region and includes six departments which offers an extensive range of undergraduate degree programmes in the disciplines of chemical and biological sciences, civil and environmental engineering, computer sciences, electronics, and industrial engineering. The school offers world-class MPhil, MSc and PhD degrees in the disciplines of civil engineering, environmental engineering, computer engineering, industrial engineering and decision analytics in both Chinese and English languages. Hong Kong University of Science and Technology scored an overall 83.1 points for engineering and technology education, placing it at the number 4th spot for the subject in Asia and at the 18th position in the world.

Tsinghua University
China’s Tsinghua University is the number two ranked university in all of Asia, however, it is on the fifth spot when it comes to engineering and technology. It has been consistently climbing international rankings on the back of its impressive performance in research and innovation, besides offering benchmark quality education in every discipline of study. THE named it the 22nd best university in the world for 2018. Tsinghua University scored 80.4 points for its engineering and technology education. It had an industry income score of 99, research score of 97.8 and teaching score of 87.3. However, it fared poorly for international outlook, scoring only 29.8 on that account.

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea
Number sixth on the list of top 10 Asian engineering universities is Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), one of the top research institutes in Asia, it is well known around the world for its research work in the field of education and innovative practices. The College of Engineering at KAIST encourages students to showcase creativity and academic excellence and provides them hands-on practical experience in the fields of science and technology. The college consists of three undergraduate and two graduate schools and is ranked among the top engineering schools of the world. The university is ranked 102nd in THE world university rankings, however, it is the 27th best in the world for studies related to engineering and technology.

University of Hong Kong
The University of Hong Kong is inspired by their rich heritage and is known for academic excellence, international research endeavours, and global exchanges and connection building programmes. The university is considered the 36th best in the world in 2019 according to THE, while it was placed on the 40th spot in the world reputation rankings 2018.
The foundation of the Faculty of Engineering was laid in the year 1911 and was established to produce first-rate engineers and professionals. The university currently holds 30th rank in the world for engineering and technology studies, it was 3rd in terms of international outlook.

Seoul National University, South Korea
Ranked number 32 in the world for engineering and technology in 2018, Seoul National University (SNU) the eighth best engineering university in Asia and one of the most prestigious national research universities in South Korea. The Graduate School of Engineering is committed to serve a diverse student body and aims to foster international exchange and research programmes in a variety of engineering disciplines. It was named the 63rd best in the world in THE World University rankings 2019. In the engineering category, SNU scored an impressive 85.5 for research, 81.6 for teaching and 76.9 for industry income. It also had a decent score of 66.3 fro citations. It was ranked 9th in Asia by THE in its Asia rankings 2018.Â

The University of Tokyo
The University of Tokyo is on the 35th spot in THE’s World University Rankings 2018 for engineering and technology, making it the ninth best in Asia for the subject.
The engineering school of the University of Tokyo was established in 1886 and offers undergraduate programmes in civil engineering, architecture, urban engineering, mechanical engineering, aeronautics and astronautics, information and communication engineering, and applied physics. Affiliated research organizations of the school include Engineering Research, Institute of Engineering Innovation, Nuclear Engineering Research Laboratory and Research Center for Water Environment Technology. The University of Tokyo was awarded a score of 88 for research and 86.9 for teaching. It also happens to be the number 1 ranked university in Japan.Â

University of Science and Technology of China
Established in 1958 with the aim of promoting international competitiveness in the areas of science and technology in China, USTC ranks at the number 39 in the world for engineering and technology. Besides, THE ranked it at number 15 in Asia University Rankings 2018.
Its school of engineering offers undergraduate and graduate degree programmes in a variety of engineering disciplines. UTSC currently accommodates 15000+ students and 3500+ faculty members and is globally known for its research productivity and citations. The university also has strategic and international linkages with European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) and some of the leading universities of the world including Stanford, Oxford, and Princeton.
