Two literary personalities win Yorkshire Literary Award at the 14th International Urdu Conference

Two literary personalities from different cities of Pakistan were awarded the Yorkshire Literary Award by the Yorkshire Literary Forum at the 14th International Urdu Conference.

Among them were Prof. Ghazi Alumuddin and Seema Ghazal. Ghazal Ansari presided over the session while Shahida Hassan officiated. Aftab Muztar, Fatima Hassan, Dr. Ansari, and Seema Ghazal’s son Osama expressed their views on this occasion.

Dr. Fatima Hassan said that the team of Yorkshire Literary Forum was the beehive from which everyone benefits. “They acknowledge the greatness of literary personalities not only in Karachi but all over the country.” Shahida Hassan stated that our class was the most sensitive class which consists of ambassadors of art and culture, she added, “Factors such as art and culture keep society alive. But unfortunately, we did not do anything at the government level. We are all working individually.”

“This work can only be done by those who are aware of it. We are in dire need of such charitable works.” Seema Ghazal Award was received by her son Osama. Acting as the director, Ghazal Ansari said that he was grateful to the President Arts Council Ahmad Shah for giving us this opportunity every year and we were able to do it.
