The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has revamped its Estate Management Department to make it more efficient and to turn the campus best greenish campus in the country. Vice chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf addressed the staff of Estate Management Department.
Addressing a ceremony of gardening and sanitation staff’s provision of new uniforms funded by Sadaqat Textile, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf said that university was making serious efforts to ensure foolproof security and the most attractive green campus. He said that special training of the gardening, security and engineering staff were being held to equip them with modern technique. He said another wing of Estate Management was dealing with plantation. He added that the university was turning all our efforts for green cause as someone enters the campus, he finds it lush green and the temperature in the campus is less than the city.
He lauded the steps of the government of launching billions tree program in a bid to mitigate climate change impact. He called for public participation in Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Pakistan plantation campaign in order to address the issue of emerging challenges including climate changes etc.
He appraised the efforts of Dr Qamar Bilal and his team for clean and green campus. He said that the university team was working round the clock that’s why even in autumn, one can find spring in the campus due to flowering and green land. VC said everyone should plant a sapling for breathing. This is a way forward a save the coming generation from the hazardous effects of climate.
Estate Management Principal Officer Dr Qamar Bilal said special session of the staff was being conducted to improve their efficiency. He said that beautiful plants were be planted at the campus that will further improve the environment . Qamar said that steps should be taken to address the issues of staff so that they could work more effectively. He lauded the efforts of his staff who were working with dedication.
Sadaqat Textile Director Hamza Mukhtar said that they were collaborating with the UAF as it was the prestige of city and produced the skilled and trained manpower. He said that they were providing free of cost jackets to the sanitary and gardening staff of the varsity.
