The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) Jhelum Valley Campus, in partnership with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Cultural Academy, held a distinguished poetry recital to commemorate the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The event celebrated Jinnah’s visionary leadership, sacrifices, and pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan.

Esteemed poets such as Ataullah Ata, Naz Muzaffarabadi, Professor Ejaz Numani, M. Yameen, Javed-ul-Hasan Javed, Qasim Silani, and Haq Nawaz Mughal captivated the audience with their evocative verses. A large number of faculty members and students attended, adding to the event’s grandeur and significance.
Through their poetry, the participants paid glowing tributes to Quaid-e-Azam, shedding light on his unwavering commitment to Pakistan’s creation. The verses resonated with Jinnah’s enduring vision for a united, progressive, and prosperous nation.
Campus Director Dr Imtiaz Awan, in his address, extended a warm welcome to the attendees and expressed his gratitude for their participation. He commended the organizing team for their efforts in hosting a meaningful celebration. Dr Awan highlighted the need to embrace Jinnah’s guiding principles of unity, faith, and discipline as the foundation for Pakistan’s future progress.
Speakers urged students and faculty to draw inspiration from Jinnah’s life, emphasizing the importance of instilling his values in their personal and professional endeavors. They reiterated that the Quaid’s ideals remain a blueprint for building a strong and vibrant Pakistan.
The event concluded with the ceremonial cutting of a cake to honor Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday. A collective prayer was also offered for Pakistan’s continued prosperity and progress.
UAJK’s commitment to promoting educational and cultural activities that inspire the youth and broader community to uphold the legacy of Pakistan’s founding father was evident in the resounding success of this event.
