LAHORE: The 19th Board of Advanced Studies and Research meeting of the University of Central Punjab (UCP) was held under the chairpersonship of Chairperson Proctor UCP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mansoor Ahmed.
The meeting was held at UCP Boardroom and attended by the Registrar of the University Farzana Shahid, Board members including Dr. Faisal Mustafa, Deans of the faculty and senior faculty members of UCP.
The meeting was briefed on important educational and research issues of various faculties of UCP.
The Board of Studies approved degrees of 120 M.Phil and MS degrees, admissions of 23 PhD scholars along with approval of synopsis evaluation and Foreign Evaluation Reports. The Board of Advanced Studies and Research also approved foreign supervisors also.
The Pro Rector appreciated the research work and publications of UCP faculty members in the year 2020.
Moreover, the Faculty of Media and Communication Studies (FMCS) of University of Central Punjab hosted an Open House session for the newly admitted students.
Faculty members briefed about the four specialisations being offered at the BS level. A display of students’ projects was also showcased on the occasion.
The students were also briefed about the state of the art facilities at FMCS including FM 92.6 Radio, UCP TV Production House and NLE lab.
