University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has announced a new admission policy for admissions in 2023.

According to the new policy, students will now be able to register for the UET entry test on a first-year basis. All Pakistani students who have passed or are about to take the Intermediate exams will be allowed to sit in ECAT 2023. However, candidates who do not appear in the UET entrance test will not be eligible for admission to the undergraduate programs of any government and private sector engineering institution.

UET also announced admissions to BSc Engineering and BSc Engineering Technology programs. The last date for registration for the UET Entry test (ECAT-23) is March 3, 2023. The Entry Tests will be held from March 13 to 17, 2023. However, the entry test result will be announced on March 24, 2023.

Students can pay the registration fee for ECAT online through HBL Konnect. Payment of Rs. 1800/- Tokens can be obtained through HBL Online Banking and HBL KONNECT until March 03, 2023. For admissions in non-E-CAT programs, the token can be obtained by February 13 on payment of Rs 2,000.

In the ECAT 2022, a total of 26,338 candidates were registered for the test; 14,188 candidates were entertained within UET Lahore while the rest, 12,150, by the partner institutes.
