The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Literary Society conducted an event under the title ‘Mehfil-e-Midhat-e-Rasool (SAW) 2022’ to honor the birth of the Prophet (SAW). The life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) illuminates the righteous path for a Muslim and his teachings are the ultimate source of guidance for us.
There were four modules of the event i.e., Qiraat Competition, Naat Competition, Seerat-e-Nabi (SAW) Quiz Competition and Naatiya Kalam. The event started with the recitation from the winner of Qiraat Competition and then to honor the Prophet (SAW), the winner of Naat Competition recited a Naat. UET Debating Society was the collaborating partner in this event. The winners from the Speech Competition performed on the stage.
To stimulate the learning of the students, UET Literary Society conducted a Quiz Competition. It had two rounds. The initial round was written and then the second round was conducted on the stage. The winner and runners up positions were announced from this competition.
Since the event was conducted to honor the birth of Holy Prophet (SAW), UET Literary Society invited the guest poets who presented their respects and tributes to the Prophet (SAW) with their words. The audience applauded their poetry.
At last, a prize distribution ceremony was conducted where our respected Director Student Affairs presented the winning participants with shields and honorary certificates.
