During the event, UHE Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Faleeha Zahra Kazmi delivered a powerful speech, emphasizing Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace. “Pakistan is a peace-loving country, and we take immense pride in being citizens of this nation,” she declared, setting the tone for the event. Dr Kazmi also lauded Brigadier Dr Helen Mary as “the pride of the Pakistan Army,” recognizing her contributions to the nation.

The newly established Helen Mary Robert Chair aims to advance research and promote peace, with UHE at the forefront of this critical endeavor. “Universities should act as ambassadors of peace,” Dr Kazmi stated, underscoring the pivotal role academic institutions play in fostering harmony and understanding in society.

In her keynote address, Brigadier Dr Helen Mary highlighted the crucial link between education and service to humanity. She reaffirmed Pakistan’s longstanding tradition as a peace-loving nation and called upon all citizens to uphold this legacy. “We must encourage one another and work together to make Pakistan a cradle of peace,” she urged.

She called on all Pakistanis to contribute toward enhancing the nation’s global image. “Education, service to humanity, and peace are interconnected,” she explained, stressing that by valuing education and sustaining peace, Pakistan can secure a brighter future.

The Brigadier’s message, centered on the triad of education, peace, and service to humanity, resonated deeply with the audience, reinforcing the importance of these principles in building a better society.
