UHE teachers & employees donate 2-days salary to flood victims

The University of Home Economics (UHE) Lahore has decided to collect donations for the relief of flood victims.

It has been decided to donate two days’ salary of teachers and employees of Home Economics University from grades 18 to 21, Vice Chancellor Dr Kanwal Ameen has donated her two days’ salary to the relief fund, whereas one day’s salary for Grade 16 to Grade 17 employees will be donated.

A meeting of the Flood Relief Committee was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Kanwal Ameen. Officials of the Pakistan Home Economics Association (PHEA), Home Economics University’s Alumni Association, Registrar Shujaat Muneef Qureshi, and Treasurer Muhammad Kashif attended the meeting. During the meeting, Pakistan Home Economics Association donated a cheque of Rs 5 lac to the university for the help of flood victims.

Ali Zafar Foundation through the UHE will spend the relief money on the rehabilitation of flood victims. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen said that the Home Economics University will purchase relief items from the donated money and will send them to the flood victims. In this difficult time, the nation will stand by the side of the flood victims, she added.
