The School of Business and Economics at University of Management & Technology (UMT) has been featured in renowned American weekly news magazine, Newsweek, as one of the Leading Business Schools in Asia 2020.
UMT, a project of the ILM Trust, has more than 700 faculty members that include over 200 PhDs, besides a network of over 20,000 alumni and 25,000 students from 100 districts of Pakistan and 20 countries across the globe. The weekly news magazine said UMT was playing a key role of transforming learners into leaders of all professions.
The SBE at UMT has been awarded the highest rank, W4, by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. UMT is also ranked among the top 500 universities in Asia by QS Rankings, in addition to being one of the top 200 in employer and academic reputation.
UMT President Ibrahim Hassan Murad said SBE distinguished itself with more than 70 full-time faculty members, 30 of which hold PhDs from top institutions in Pakistan and abroad. He said the school was focused on developing holistic leaders who had the capability to transform the society at large. Murad said SBE had a record of producing top quality business leaders and academic scholars, therefore, the corporate and academic worlds at home and abroad testified to the quality of its programs.

The UMT president highlighted that SBE had the privilege of being the founder of Association of Management Development Institutions in Pakistan (AMDIP), adding that SBE had been awarded ‘A’ category for its BBA and MBA programs and had teh highest of accreditation from the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) from 2018-2023.
SBE is also an active member of International, European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The school is also a voting member at the Publishers International Linking Association (PILA), Murad added.
