UMT Markhors geared up to win PCB Champions Cup 2024, says Ibrahim Murad
The University of Management and Technology (UMT) has announced an exciting new partnership, becoming the official team sponsor of the UMT Markhors for the upcoming Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Champions Cup 2024. In a move that solidifies the university’s commitment to sports, the team, previously known as the Wolves, has been rebranded as the UMT Markhors.
In a statement, UMT President Ibrahim Hasan Murad expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the significance of this sponsorship for both the university and national sports. The UMT Markhors will feature some of Pakistan’s most celebrated cricketers, including Fakhar Zaman, Muhammad Rizwan, Naseem Shah, Shahnawaz Dhani, and Iftikhar Ahmed, donning the team’s jersey. In addition, UMT alumnus and former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq will mentor the team, bringing his wealth of experience and leadership to the squad.
The lineup for the UMT Markhors is packed with talent, with Abdul Samad, Salman Ali Agha, and other notable players joining the ranks, ensuring a formidable presence in the PCB Champions Cup 2024.
