UMT to Host International Webinar on Disaster Risk Management

LAHORE: The Centre for Disaster Management of University of Management Technology (UMT) at School of Governance and Society (SGS) is arranging a webinar titled ‘Disaster Risk Management—Discourses from Asia and Latin America’ in collaboration with its international partner ‘Avoidable Deaths Network’ (AND).

This webinar will feature lectures on various Disaster Risk Reduction activities including preparedness and response measures from three esteemed guest speakers on March 04 at 02:30 PM.

Japan Kansai University’s Associate Professor Dr Hideyuki Shiroshita will deliver a lecture in a webinar on ‘Implementation of Disaster Risk Education for Tsunami Hazard in Osaka, Japan’.

Northumbria University, UK’s Assistant Professor Dr Richar Kotter will give a lecture on ‘Thinking Service Design for improvement in emergency preparedness and response: Cases from Pakistan and international emergency team UK’.

Dr Holmes Paez from Pontifical Xavierian University, Colombia will deliver a lecture on’ reconstruction and climate change in Columbia and Latin America.’
