University of Sindh students on Wednesday staged a protest against a sheer lack of facilities and alleged embezzlement of funds by the university authorities. Students of Information Technology, English and Arts departments boycotted their classes over alleged abuse of power by the administration and its failure in providing basic facilities to the students.The protesting students chanted slogans and criticised the varsity for failing in providing quality education. They accused the university administration of being involved in the embezzlement of funds that were dispensed for the provision of student facilities. Students also claimed that they were facing serious issues due to a lack of fans and non-restoration of student park.

The University of Sindh students demanded the Sindh Governor Imran Ismael, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and National Accountability Bureau Chief Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal take urgent notice of the issue and ensure the provision of facilities to the students. They also requested for immediate action against the alleged corrupt officials, ensuring speedy recovery of the embezzled funds.
