UoE holds 3rd International Conference on “Advances in Materials Science”

The 3rd International Conference on “Advances in Materials Science (AIMS2022)” has been started at University of Education (UoE) Lahore.

The scholars and scientists from, USA, UK, China, Germany, Malaysia, Egypt, South Africa, Australia, Taiwan, Turkey, South Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Iraq participated in the conference. More than 140 talks were delivered by eminent scientists from all over the world in- person and through Zoom meetings.

The conference was inaugurated with a ceremony, which was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Nasir Pasha while Rector, Virtual University (VU) Prof Dr Arshad Saleem Bhatti was the chief guest of the ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof Dr Talat Nasir Pasha said that the success of the previous Conferences motivated us to organize another Conference on bigger scale, which is a great step in the field of research. He said that with the help of progress in the field of material science, we can overcome the crises like energy faced by the world, especially Pakistan.

Dr Pasha said that the participation of renowned scientists from different countries in the world will benefit our young scholars immensely, for which we are also grateful to them.

The Chief Guest, Rector UV, Prof Dr Arshad Saleem Bhatti in his address congratulated the University of Education for holding an international conference on this important topic. He said that the UoE is playing its vital role in the field of research by organizing such a fruitful international conferences one after another. Advances in material science have made human life easier, which shows its importance. The program is also being streamed live through the university and conference social media pages.

Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Muhammad Arshad, Director, Division of Science and Technology, Professor Dr Alam Saeed, Dr Sajjad Hussain, Dr Faheem K. Butt, Dr Muhammad Saeed Akhtar and others were also present on this occasion.

Meanwhile, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the University of Education and the University of Lahore (UoL). The objective of the MoU is to create a strategic alliance and seamless linkage among the Parties in the areas of Learning and Development, Research, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and other avenues including Corporate Trainings, Cooperative educational program, Career Opportunities for Youth. The MoU was signed by VC Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha on behalf of the UoE, while Rector, Prof Muhammad Ashraf on behalf of the UoL.
