University of Education (UoE) Lahore inaugurated a smart classroom as part of the ICT Vision 2025 program in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan.
These smart classrooms equipped with advanced technology and interactive tools aim to enhance the connection between students and teachers through online education. 06 Microphone and 30 videos with digital image stabilization and 86 Inchs ideal hub exist. It consists of e-learning, virtual desktops, interactive whiteboards, classroom control systems, live virtual classrooms, interactive displays, and an interactive control center. This state-of-the-art facility will provide learning opportunities for both faculty and students.
The inauguration ceremony of the smart classroom was held yesterday in the main campus township of UoE, in which the Vice- Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha inaugurated the smart classroom. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Arshad, Director Division of Science and Technology Prof Dr Muhammad Alam Saeed, Director Division of Education Professor Dr Muhammad Ayaz Khan, Director Information Technology Sohail Ashfaq Butt and others were also present on this occasion.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the smart classroom, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha said that the University of Education, Lahore established a smart classroom equipped with modern facilities according to the contemporary requirements, which will provide better learning opportunities not only to students but also to teachers. Keeping in view the demands of the digital age, the University of Education, Lahore has already taken this route through programs like e-Roozer. Apart from this, the availability of various technical skills to the students is also being ensured under the National Freelance Training Program.
He said that the University of Education, Lahore has always taken every right step for the betterment of its students, teachers and the country, a proof of which is today’s smart classroom, for which we are grateful to the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and the Chinese government for providing this facility for our teachers and students. In addition, Grateful also inaugurated a 5-day training workshop for teachers and staff in cooperation with the Higher Education Commission and Huawei Company.
