UoE signs MoUs for educational and professional development

In a move to promote educational and professional development, the University of Education (UoE) Lahore signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with four esteemed organizations. These organizations include the Autism Resource Centre, Lahore (ARCL), Al-Andalus Institute of Languages, Century Paper and Board Mill, Lahore, and CA Affiliates Toastmasters Club. The MoUs were signed by the UoE Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and the representatives of each organization in a ceremony held at the university’s main campus in Lahore.

Under the MoU with the Autism Resource Centre, Lahore, the UoE will collaborate with the organization to provide training and education to students and professionals in the field of special education and autism. The collaboration will also include research activities and joint projects to enhance the understanding and management of autism. The MoU with Al-Andalus Institute of Languages will focus to enhance the public speaking, leadership, communication and professional development skills of the university students and employees with effective utilization of mutually collaborative resources.

The MoU with Century Paper and Board Mill, Lahore, aims to promote industry-academia linkages, help members to improve their oral communicative abilities, provide instructions, educational material and opportunities to members that will give them skills and experience in the preparation and delivery of speeches and Facilitate leadership training to members. Finally, the MoU with CA Affiliates Toastmasters Club will focus on improving the communication and leadership skills of students and staff of the UoE. The collaboration will include workshops, training sessions, and joint events aimed at enhancing the professional development of participants.

Speaking on the occasion, the UoE Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of such collaborations for promoting academic and professional development. He also expressed hope that these partnerships would lead to fruitful outcomes and further strengthen the university’s ties with the industry and community. UoE Director External Linkages & International Office Dr Muhammad Anwar, Founder President UoE Toastmasters Dr Humaira Irfan and others were also present on this occasion.
