The participants of the Seminar titled “Youth and Social Welfare” organized by the Noon Business School (NBS), University of Sargodha (UoS) said that the youth are the backbone of any society and should be encouraged to participate in shaping the future. They stressed that it’s crucial to provide young individuals with the necessary skills and resources to tackle the challenges of the modern era.

A renowned development practitioner and philanthropist Dr Amjad Saqib, senior columnist/analyst Dr Hussain A Piracha, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas and the director of NBS Prof Dr Ghulam Ali Bhatti were among the keynote speakers while the seminar was attended by several students and faculty members.

The speakers called for a systematic approach to youth engagement, where their potential can be nurtured and their contributions valued. They also highlighted the importance of empathy in dealing with the problems faced by young people and urged that the challenges and issues faced by the youth should be addressed with a sense of understanding and compassion, rather than just a one-size-fits-all solution.

Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas welcomed the distinguished guests and emphasized the significance of such events in fostering intellectual discourse and promoting social awareness. Briefing the participants, Dr Abbas said that the University has taken several steps to support students in their entrepreneurial journey and provide them with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in the real world.

“We will be in a position very soon to offer resources such as training programs, mentorship, funding, and networking events. He also highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among its students and emphasized that the incubation center is just one of many initiatives put in place to support student success and help them achieve their full potential.

The Vice-Chancellor also presented souvenirs to both Dr Amjad Saqib and Dr Hussain A Piracha in recognition of their valuable contributions.
