The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) has opened applications for the 2025 Fulbright Scholar Program. This prestigious program will select around 15 scholars for the upcoming academic year. Thirteen of these positions are designated for early-career faculty members and researchers with 2-7 years of experience, while the remaining two slots are reserved for senior scholars with 8-15 years since earning their PhD or terminal degree.
The Fulbright Scholar Program offers up to 12 months of opportunities for lectureships, post-doctoral research, or a combination of both at U.S. colleges or universities. Selected scholars will engage in academic and cultural exchanges, sharing insights on Pakistan’s society and culture with students, colleagues, and community groups in the United States. Upon returning to Pakistan, they are expected to contribute significantly to the country’s development by applying their U.S. experiences within their academic and professional fields.
Grant Benefits
The program includes a comprehensive package of benefits, covering airfare, an incidental research allowance, a living stipend, and health insurance. It also supports the visa application process and provides financial assistance for one accompanying dependent.

The program is open to scholars, professionals, and artists from all fields except clinical medicine. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or terminal degree and have been in their current academic position for at least two years. Those who have recently returned from U.S. educational opportunities must have spent at least two years in Pakistan before applying.

A well-developed proposal outlining the applicant’s goals in the U.S. and the relevance of their work to Pakistan. The proposal is a crucial part of the application.

Pakistani citizenship, with a strong academic record and active participation in academic or professional work in Pakistan.
Ineligibility Criteria
