UVAS Lahore Launches Digitalization Initiative

In a landmark move towards modernization and efficiency, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore inaugurated the digitalization of its assets, financial management system, and tutorial system at its City Campus. The ceremony, held on Tuesday, was graced by the presence of Meritorious Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I), Vice-Chancellor of UVAS, alongside Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, Registrar Sajjad Hyder, Director of Information Technology Center Mr. Rizwan Saleem, and other dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus extended his congratulations to all staff, faculty, and students on the successful implementation of the digitalization system at UVAS. He emphasized the significance of such a system in ensuring transparency in financial reporting and bill processing. He also highlighted the potential benefits that the staff would derive from this modernized approach.

Mr. Rizwan Saleem elaborated on the various salient features of the digitalization system, focusing on its capabilities in expenditure management, assets and inventory management, and ensuring flawless and transparent financial operations. He underlined the importance of complying with international ERP standards and regional regulations, emphasizing the meticulous efforts put forth by UVAS Directorate of Information Technology in collaboration with UVAS Treasurer’s Office over a span of two years to develop this system.

The digitalization initiative marks a significant step forward for UVAS, promising enhanced efficiency, transparency, and accountability across its operations. With this transformation, UVAS is poised to further strengthen its position as a leading institution in veterinary and animal sciences, both nationally and internationally.
