Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Sindh Sadiq Ali Memon has said that the shortage of the female teachers in special education institutions will be meted out on priority basis and development work in certain special education institutions will also be completed at the earliest.

This he said while visiting different special education institutions here in Larkana today. On this occasion Regional Director Noor Ahmed Joyo, Assistant Director Saeed Ahmed Jatoi, Principal Altaf Thebo, V. Principal Aslam Khalwar and others were also present.

During his visit, SACM Sadiq Ali Memon inspected various parts of the institutions and monitored ongoing development work. He said that Sindh Government was fully committed to providing better health, care, and educational facilities to children with disabilities and ensuring their independence. He said that in rural areas it was very much necessary to create awareness on the issue of persons with disabilities because due to lack of awareness, these differently-abled persons were not treated as they should be.

Memon says; “I will visit across the province to see what facilities are being provided to children with disabilities in special education institutions and will do whatever I can do to improve these facilities’. On this occasion Regional Director Noor Ahmed Joyo briefed SACM Sadiq Ali Memon about the performance of the special education institutions in the region.
