Sargodha: Vice Chancellor Sargodha University Professor Dr Saleem Mazhar participated in the presidential election of the People’s Republic of Uzbekistan as an international observer.

He was invited by the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan. Vice Chancellor Dr Saleem Mazhar also visited the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and met with Rector Gulchkhra Sh. Rikhsieva, faculty members and students.

The meeting agreed to exchange faculty and researchers through joint research, academic liaison and exchange program between Punjab University, Sargodha University and Tashkent State University. Other issues of mutual cooperation were also discussed during the meeting.

In a meeting with students studying Urdu at Tashkent State University, Dr. Saleem Mazhar stressed the need to promote regional ties and co-operation. At the end of the meeting, the Rector of Tashkent State University presented a souvenir to the Vice Chancellor of Sargodha University Dr. Saleem Mazhar and expressed his best wishes.
