The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi conferred Hilal i Imtiaz on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of Pakistan to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Education (UE), Lahore Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha.
The award was announced for excellence in science, engineering and education and will be presented on March 23, 2023, during a prestigious ceremony held at the President’s House. Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha has previously been awarded the Sitara i Imtiaz for best services in the Department of Veterinary Sciences in 2015 and the Best Teacher Award by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in 2009.
Academic and administrative circles across the country have expressed their happiness on this award given to Professor Dr Talat Nasir Pasha, a prominent scholar with more than 4 decades of experience in teaching and administration. The teachers, staff and students of University of Education, Lahore also congratulated the head of the institution on this important achievement.
On Diamond Jubilee of Pakistan and Independence Day, the government of Pakistan has conferred Sitara i Imtiaz, Hilal i Imtiaz and other state organized honors of Pakistan on a number of academicians, educationists and other personalities based on their achievements.
