The UHS Medi-Sum School 2024 offered an intensive 10-day hands-on training across various medical and dental disciplines.

Designed to enhance the skills and techniques of students, the program culminated in the distribution of certificates to all participants who successfully completed the electives.

The Summer School Electives covered a wide range of topics, including:
– ‘Molecular Biology Techniques’ by the Human Genetics & Molecular Biology Department
– ‘Autopsy Room to Court Room’ by the Forensic Medicine Department
– ‘Histology & Gross Anatomy Techniques’ by the Anatomy Department
– ‘Physiology Practicals’ by the Physiology Department
– ‘Community Medicine through Field Visits’ by the Public Health Department
– ‘Understudying Dental Materials’ by the Science of Dental Materials Department
– ‘Basic Life Support’ by the Family Medicine Department in collaboration with the Institute of Learning Emergency Medicine (ILEM)

During the event, Professor Rathore sought feedback from the students, who appreciated the faculty’s efforts and found the program beneficial. They suggested extending the duration of the electives and providing residential facilities for students in the future.
