Vice-chancellors of various public and private sector universities would give presentations and share the educational challenges at hand with Chancellor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar at Governor House convention today.
Sources stated that in the first session, after Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar will address the gathering. Later, Islamia University of Bahawalpur Vice Chancellor Engr Prof Dr Athar Mehboob will give a detailed presentation on the issues and challenges of general universities, followed by Lahore College for Women University Vice-chancellor Dr Bushra Mirza who will also give a presentation on issues and challenges particularly faced by women universities in the country. The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Vice-chancellor will also address the convention.
In the second session, University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ashraf will represent agriculture universities, University of Engineering and Technology Taxila Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Inayat Ullah Babar will present engineering universities challenges. Fatima Jinnah Medical University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Aamir Zaman Khan will also brief the participants on medical universities problems and issues.
In the third and last session, Forman Christian College Rector Dr James A Tebbe and University of Lahore Vice-Chancellor will give presentations in the convention of private sector universities problems.
In the end, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Dr Tariq Banuri and Punjab Higher Education Commission Chairman will present their views and comments.
