In a significant move aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and mobility, the Vice Chancellor of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), Prof Dr Shagufta Naz, ceremoniously handed over keys to new official vehicles to the deans of various faculties. The event, which took place on the university premises, underscored the institution’s commitment to providing better resources for its academic leaders.

The recipients of the new vehicles included Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof Dr Uzma Qureshi; Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning, Prof Dr Faleha Kazmi; and Dean of Pharmaceuticals and Allied Health Sciences, Prof Dr Humira Khan. These deans expressed their gratitude for the support, emphasizing how the new vehicles would aid in their administrative and academic responsibilities.

Present at the event were several other key university officials, including Additional Registrar Uzma Batul, Treasurer Muhammad Younas, Transport Officer Fazal Abbas Faizi, Deputy Director of Purchase Qadeer Abid Sulehri, Senior State Officer Sheikh Ghiyasuddin, and Head of Graphic Design Ayesha Siddiqa. Their attendance highlighted the collaborative effort and shared enthusiasm for the university’s progress.

Speaking at the occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr Shagufta Naz highlighted the importance of supporting the academic and administrative staff with necessary resources. “Providing our deans with these vehicles is a step towards ensuring they have the tools needed to perform their duties effectively and efficiently,” she remarked. “We are committed to fostering an environment where our staff can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the university’s mission.”

The new vehicles are expected to facilitate better inter-campus connectivity and enable the deans to participate more actively in various academic and administrative activities, both within and outside the university. This initiative is part of LCWU’s broader strategy to improve infrastructure and support systems, reflecting its dedication to maintaining high standards in higher education.
