Violent assault leaves Palestinian students in critical condition at GMCG

In a distressing turn of events, two Palestinian students in Gujranwala find themselves in dire straits after a brutal assault by a group of assailants armed with knives. The victims, both enrolled at Gujranwala Medical College (GMCG), were subjected to a horrifying ordeal.

Local law enforcement has taken swift action in response to this heinous act, formally registering a case against several individuals as per the provisions of sections 324, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The case was initiated based on the victims’ report, who have been identified as Palestinian nationals.

The incident unfolded against a backdrop of complaints concerning the harassment of foreign female students in the area, allegedly perpetrated by a group of individuals with a history of disruptive behavior. It is reported that when these aggressors targeted foreign female students, the Palestinian students courageously intervened to protect them.

The confrontation escalated to a shocking level, resulting in the assailants launching a violent attack within the confines of the victims’ apartment, situated on the 4th floor of the Platinum Tower.

Thankfully, timely assistance from neighboring residents played a pivotal role in the rescue of the victims from this harrowing ordeal. Law enforcement officials have moved swiftly, assuring the community that efforts to apprehend the suspects are well underway, as they work diligently to bring them to justice.
