The Volunteers Leading Governance (VLG) Lahore Cabinet, alongside VLG Secretary Ms Sadaf Zubair, convened a pivotal meeting with VLG Founder Ibrahim Hasan Murad at his office. This gathering marked a significant step in advancing the organization’s mission and expanding its impact.
The meeting commenced with an overview of VLG’s vision, including detailed introductions of team members and a discussion on the organizational structure and future initiatives. Murad commended the volunteers for their dedication, highlighting the critical role of youth in the nation’s development. He emphasized the importance of creating volunteer opportunities to harness the potential of young individuals, aiming to both enhance community services and improve governmental efficiency.
Murad reiterated VLG’s commitment to empowering the youth, stating, “The youth are the backbone of our country. Providing them with platforms to volunteer not only enriches their personal growth but also contributes significantly to societal progress.”
Currently, VLG boasts a robust network of 12,000 volunteers across Punjab, with an ambitious target to expand this number to over 100,000. This growth is expected to amplify the organization’s ability to execute its community and governance improvement projects effectively.
The meeting concluded on a celebratory note with the distribution of certificates, volunteer kits, and membership cards to the volunteers. This was followed by a photoshoot, capturing the spirit and enthusiasm of the VLG team.
The event underscored VLG’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of volunteerism and active citizenship among the youth, aiming to create a more efficient and responsive governance model for the future.
