The Virtual University (VU) of Pakistan held the third part of its 12th convocation in Multan on Friday in which 2150 degrees were awarded to graduates of various fields, of which 410 were bachelors, 1449 were masters and 291 were MPhil graduates.
Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 students received their degrees. Additionally, twenty-two merit certificates and five gold medals were also awarded in recognition of the outstanding performance of the position holder students. Prof Dr Masroor Elahi, Vice Chancellor, Agriculture University of Dera Ismail Khan (UAD) attended the function as the Chief Guest.
In his welcome address, Prof Dr Arshad Saleem Bhatti, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan highlighted the achievements of Virtual University and its important role in imparting technology-based quality education to remote areas of the country. He advised the students to always respect their parents. Rector Virtual University along with the Chief Guest also distributed degrees to all the graduates of the Mill.
The convocation was attended by many dignitaries, faculty, staff, students and their parents. Prof Dr Masroor Elahi Babar, Vice Chancellor, Agriculture University, Dera Ismail Khan, on the occasion praised the Virtual University of Pakistan for its efforts in providing quality education.
