Ziauddin University (ZU) Department of Clinical Psychology has taken the initiative to sign the third MoU with the Karachi Vocational Training Center (KVTC).

The signing of the MoU between the two organizations aims to increase the opportunities for internships and in-depth experience in the field for the Department of Clinical Psychology students.

“Giving students new opportunities is always our top priority, and I feel that giving them will help their learning in the future,” said Dr Shehla Sidiki, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Human Sciences, Ziauddin University.

Taking students’ benefits in mind Ms Sana Ayaaz, Principal of Karachi Vocational Training Center (KVTC) stated that as KVTC works for skill development and other programs, it will provide opportunities for psychology students to participate in internships and get experience in the field”

The Karachi Vocational Training Center has received certification from the Pakistan Centre of Philanthropy (PCP) as a free vocational rehabilitation facility for people with intellectual disabilities. A unique combination of Functional Academics, Vocational Skills Training, Sports Programs, and All Therapies is used in KVTC’s rehabilitation program. It places a focus on developing recipients’ skills through vocational training (STEVTA Certified), which ultimately leads to job prospects.
