CCTV Mandatory for Matric 2026 Science Practicals

The Matriculation 2026 Exam Task Force has directed all examination center heads and school principals to install closed-circuit television cameras in science laboratories to strengthen transparency and uphold the integrity of upcoming practical examinations.

According to an official circular issued to schools, all arrangements for science practicals must be completed by February 28. The directive requires laboratories to ensure that computers are fully functional and that essential chemicals, instruments, and equipment are available and in proper working condition ahead of the exams.

To ensure strict compliance, technical monitoring teams will begin inspections across all districts and tehsils after the February 28 deadline. The task force has warned that principals and laboratory in-charges will face disciplinary action if their institutions fail to meet the prescribed standards within the given timeframe.

The circular also outlined the structure of the practical examinations. Each practical will be conducted in two parts, including the evaluation of students’ practical record books and a hands-on practical test. Resident inspectors deployed at examination centers will supervise and verify the entire assessment process.
