Fake School Holiday Notice Debunked by Sindh Minister

Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah has firmly rejected a viral notification circulating on social media that falsely claimed an extension of school holidays across the province, calling the document misleading and fabricated.

Speaking to the media, the minister clarified that no such decision had been made by the education department. The forged notification alleged that all public and private educational institutions would remain closed until April 15 due to a so-called smart lockdown and fuel shortage. It also inaccurately stated that examinations would proceed as scheduled during the extended break.

Authorities confirmed that the document is entirely fraudulent and not issued by any official government body. The misinformation quickly spread online, causing confusion among parents, students, and school administrations.

The minister urged the public to exercise caution and verify all such announcements through official government channels before sharing them. He emphasized that spreading unverified information not only creates unnecessary panic but also disrupts the functioning of educational institutions.
