In a move aimed at easing the burden on aspirants, the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced a major change to the Central Superior Services (CSS) Competitive Examination. Starting from the 2026 exams, candidates will now face only one compulsory paper per day, replacing the previous schedule of two papers per day.
The decision, shared in an official notice on Wednesday and signed by FPSC Director (CE) Zafar Abbas Memon, is intended to reduce candidate fatigue and allow more focused preparation. The commission emphasized that this adjustment will ensure a smoother examination process and enhance overall performance.
